  • Survey responses: answers to on-boarding and spiritual assessment surveys.
  • Quiz and course activity: your progress, responses, and scores within courses.
  • Church attendance: records you voluntarily submit through the app.
  • Communications with Servants: messages and notes exchanged with your assigned mentor within the app.

b) Information Collected Automatically

  • Device information: device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers.
  • Usage data: screens visited, features used, and session duration.
  • Push notification tokens: used to deliver app notifications to your device.
  • Crash reports and performance data: collected to help us improve the app.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Create and manage your account.
  • Personalize your spiritual growth journey and course recommendations.
  • Connect you with a Servant mentor suited to your profile.
  • Track and display your progress on the leader-board and within chapters.
  • Send relevant push notifications about your journey and community updates.
  • Analyze usage patterns to improve app features and content.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the app.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Sharing

We may share your information with:

  • Servant mentors: limited profile and progress information to facilitate discipleship support.
  • Firebase (Google): our backend infrastructure provider, used for authentication, database, and push notifications. Firebase processes data in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Analytics providers: aggregated, anonymous usage data to help us improve the app experience.
  • Legal authorities: when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users or organization.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us. Some information may be retained for up to 90 days for legal or administrative purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

Path of Light is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data without appropriate consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.

6. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and secure authentication through Firebase. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your account and personal data.
  • Withdraw consent for optional data processing (such as push notifications).
