1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Path of Light, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or guardian has reviewed and agreed to these terms on your behalf.

2. Description of the App

Path of Light is a faith-based educational platform designed to help users explore Christianity, grow spiritually, and engage in structured discipleship. The app provides access to study courses, quizzes, spiritual growth tracking, surveys, and mentorship support from trained Servants.

3. User Accounts

  • You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the app for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulations.
  • Upload, share, or transmit content that is harmful, offensive, or inappropriate in a faith-based community context.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the app or its related systems.
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access or interact with the app.
  • Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any group.

5. Content and Intellectual Property

All course materials, quizzes, illustrations, audio, and written content within Path of Light are the intellectual property of SPOEM and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any app content without prior written permission.

Your profile information and responses submitted within the app remain your own. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to use it solely to provide the service.

6. Mentorship and Servant Interaction

Path of Light connects users with trained Servants who provide spiritual guidance and support. These interactions are intended for faith-based encouragement and discipleship only. Servants are not licensed counselors or therapists, and their guidance does not substitute for professional mental health or medical advice.

7. Push Notifications

With your consent, we may send push notifications related to your spiritual journey, course progress, and community updates. You may opt out at any time through your device settings.

8. Modifications to the App and Terms

We reserve the right to update, modify, or discontinue features of the app at any time. We will notify users of material changes to these Terms. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Path of Light is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the app.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SPOEM shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
